Wedding Workshop
Have you ever been asked to perform a wedding, but didn't know just what
to do? Join us for an informative workshop on performing wedding services.
You'll learn your duties as the wedding officiant, the filing requirements
for the license, and what information is needed from the prospective couple
and witnesses.
This workshop will help explain the ins and outs of performing a civil
wedding ceremony. It will help answer the questions about the most common
parts of a wedding ceremony and what order they usually happen in.
You will get suggestions on the words to say, the opening, the vows, the
readings, the pronouncement, and the closing.
The rules governing weddings will be reviewed from the couple obtaining
their license from the municipal clerk to the officiator returning the
license to the municipal clerk that issued it and all the legal steps in
between.
It will be a fun and informative evening for the person who has performed
many weddings to the novice who is just learning, as well the person who has
never performed a wedding but is thinking about it.
Payment The cost for the workshop is $20 for INM members and $25 for non-members. Please make your check payable to INM.
Merchandise will be available for purchase
- The New INM Wedding Kit (3-ring binder with wedding ceremonies, renewal of vows, and certificates)
