    Registration for this conference has reached capacity, and is now closed.

    Each year, usually the third week in April, INM holds a one-day educational conference. The conference includes a variety of topics such as: wedding instructions/ tips, an update on Maine notary law, signing agent / mobile notary information, identification techniques, etc. INM varies the location of the conference to try and make it accessible to all Maine notaries, the conferences have been held from South Portland to Bangor.

    Conference Highlights of the state's largest annual educational event for Maine notaries:

    Two Educational Tracks - new feature this year!

    • Track One - "The Notary as Entrepreneur"
    • Track Two - "The Notary in the Workplace"

    • Seven educational workshops to select from offering a variety of information for notaries
    • A conference program booklet containing all event information in one document
    • Great Speakers - Secretary of State Summers, Deputy Secretary of State Julie Flynn and State Notary Officer Cathy Beaudoin
    • Door prize drawings throughout the day
    • iPad Raffle - tickets are 2 for $5 or 5 for $10 - someone is leaving the conference with a brand new iPad!
    • Vendors and INM Product & Supplies Sales Table - purchase items and save on shipping costs

    9:00am - 9:15am Welcome To the Conference - Greetings by INM State Co-President Diane Rogers
    9:15am - 9:30am Greetings & Welcome by Secretary of State Charles Summers - Hear important updates and information on state and national notary trends directly from Secretary Summers.
    9:30am - 10:30am Concurrent Workshops:
    • Track 1, Workshop 1: Home-based notary businesses - is being an entrepreneur for you?
    • Track 2, Workshop 1: Notary 101 - A Review and Refresher
    10:30am - 10:45am Morning Refreshment Break - A chance to visit with vendors and network with others.

    Registration is $65 for INM members and $75 for non-members, or a special rate of $80 for the conference plus INM membership. A buffet lunch is included in the cost of registration.

    Seating is limited to the first 150 registrants.

    Walk-ins will be placed on a waitlist and may be turned away if seating is not available.

    Hotel Accommodations for those traveling to the April 19th workshop

    There are a limited number of rooms set aside at the Hampton Inn (formerly the Ramada) for an arrival date of Wednesday, April 18, 2012 and departure date of Thursday, April 19, 2012. The Hampton Inn is located about 10 minutes) from the Dunegrass Country Club. Reservations must be made by April 5, 2012 to ensure these rates of $89 a room (this price includes the tax) and includes up to four folks to a room. Mention .Informed Notaries of Maine. when making reservations to obtain these rates and/or speak to Robin Dimitrova. Check-in 3:00 pm Check out 12:00 pm There will be a free shuttle from the Inn to Dunegrass the morning of the workshop.
